How Group Buying Works
Why group buying
Vendors overseas set minimum order quantities that are out of reach for one household — but easy for a group. By pooling orders into a single shipping container, Group Buys typically land at 30–60% below individual retail-import pricing.
The six steps
- Browse a deal and see the landed cost per unit, itemized.
- Pick your units and pay your share at checkout.
- Once the minimum order quantity is reached, the deal locks in.
- Advanced Harmony Association places the order with the vendor as importer of record.
- The container ships — tracking and stage updates are posted on the deal page.
- Pick up at the designated hub, or arrange quoted last-mile delivery.
What’s in the price
Every deal page shows an itemized breakdown: the vendor’s FOB unit price, plus your share of container shipping, import duties & tariffs, and port/clearance/inland freight — all divided across the group’s minimum order quantity. If a deal sells past its minimum, the extra units absorb any cost overruns; you are never re-billed.
The all-or-nothing guarantee
If a deal does not reach its minimum order quantity by its deadline, it is cancelled and every participant is refunded in full.
Delays & risk, honestly
Estimated ship and arrival dates are exactly that — estimates, not promises. Production, ocean freight, and customs clearance can all add delays. When they do, we post an update directly on the deal page rather than leaving you guessing.
